"We’ve spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy..." Hmm, who did that? "Our borders are like sieves and they want to give all illegals amnesty and free healthcare." You propose building a 2000 mile Berlin wall? The way to fix this is to levy very high penalties on EMPLOYERS who are caught paying illegals. This takes away the jobs and all the motivation for crossing the border. Of course the right is against that. Instead we demonize the poor that come to take the jobs corporations offer them. "Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when ‘The Big Three’ referred to Japanese car companies?" And what did the right want to do to fix it? Use it as an edge to wreck unions. This is nothing but another race to the bottom. You really want American laborers to make what a powerless foreign factory worker makes? How do we have a middle class? "We didn’t elect you to turn this country into a losing European Socialist state." Which one is 'losing' exactly? (Aside from the economic catastrophe caused by you-know-who.) This is nothing but propaganda for Americans that have never left the country. Compare standards of living and all you get in response is 'freedom fries!' I could go on of course, but why bother? The right offers nothing better than the center-righ...I mean 'left'. If you argue against one and support the other - no matter which - you are just a tool. I wish it were not true, but I am afraid it is. Our once great country is but a shell of it's former self and one of the biggest reasons is because so many people are standing around, waiting on someone else to take care of them and to do everything for them.
