Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was detained Monday by the Transportation Security Administration in Nashville, Tenn., after refusing a full body pat-down.
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul’s press secretary Moira Bagley tweeted on Monday that Transportation Security Administration officials were detaining her boss in Nashville, Tenn.

“Just got a call from @senrandpaul,” Bagley tweeted at about 10 a.m. on Monday. “He’s currently being detained by TSA in Nashville.”
“I spoke with him five minutes ago and he was being detained indefinitely,” Paul spokesperson Moira Bagley said. “The image scan went off; he refused a pat-down.”

Sen. Paul’s father, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) also tweeted aboout the incident, saying that there had been an “anomaly” with a body scanner. Rep. Paul went on to say that his son was being detained indefinitely.

Really, the TSA is detaining a U.S. Senator? Have they completely abandoned the concept of common sense? Has the time arrived for Congress to take an all encompassing review of the funding for DHS with a specific focus on the TSA?

Will Herman Cain become our first REAL African-American president? It seems that he may be headed to the GOP nomination, or at least he has surged to the top of the list in the latest Zogby Poll. Will Jesse Jackson cry at Mr. Cain’s inauguration? Will he even attend? He probably will cry, but not because Herman Cain, a REAL African-American, is being sworn in as president of the United States. Will other REAL African-Americans support Herman Cain or will they continue to support the half Kenyan-Half Caucasian American who is running for reelection? This will be an interesting presidential election to say the least.
