Tax Day Approachith

As I write this, April 15th is 2 days away. If you have yet to file your taxes, it is understandable. None of us like paying taxes, but for a growing number of Americans, it is one disliked task that they do not have to be bothered with. According to the Tax Policy Center, for the year 2009, 47 percent of U.S. households will pay no federal income tax. Granted, everyone pays some type of taxes, but more and more U.S. Citizens are finding themselves in the position of being exempt from federal income taxes.

This means that only 53 percent of us are being held responsible for paying for the spending addiction of “the evil axis”. (Obama, Reid, and Queen Pelosi) Let me show you another way of thinking about this. 53 percent of American households are not only paying for the out of control spending of “the evil axis”, but we are also picking up the defense tab for our wealthiest “allies”. Germany, Japan and others maintain minimal militaries and squander the savings on cradle-to-grave entitlements. A relatively tiny group of people (The Americans who pay income taxes) is writing the check for the entire global order.

Yes, Tax Day approachith. However, as the old saying goes, every dark cloud has a silver lining. As Tax Day gets closer, so does election day and hopefully we, the people, will be able to defeat two members of our “axis of evil”.
