PETA wishes Obama hadn’t swatted that fly
We all know that President Obama swatted a fly during his recent interview with state-run media MSNBC. Now the president of PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) wants the president of the USA (United States of America) to adopt a more humane and compassionate attitude the next time he has to deal with a fly. The organization is sending President Obama a house fly trap so that the next time he is confronted with a fly, it can be caught and released outside. Then it will come back inside again the first chance it gets. “We support compassion even for the most curious, smallest and least sympathetic animals,” PETA spokesman Bruce Friedrich said Wednesday. “We believe that people, where they can be compassionate, should be, for all animals.” Do they not realize just how silly they sound?
As I’m writing this, I can’t help but think how PETA’s desire for Mr. Obama to release house flies, is so similar to Mr. Obama’s desire to close GITMO. Once the terrorists are released from GITMO, most will go right back to being terrorists. Wait, I remember that we no longer refer to acts of terror as terrorism. Now those acts are called man-made disasters. So I guess I need to start referring to terrorists as, “men who cause man-made disasters”. This is even sillier than PETA and the house fly trap. BUT, I digress. . . .
Overall, PETA thinks Mr. Obama is doing a good job when it comes to protecting animals, they just wish he hadn’t killed that fly. In the words of Joan Rivers, “Please, GROW UP. . . .”
