Obama names Ray Mabus as Navy secretary

For readers who may not know, Ray Mabus was Governor of MS from 1988 -1992. I remember Gov. Mabus as a fairly good and capable governor and actually met him once. Gov. Mabus was also ambassador to Saudi Arabia under President Bill Clinton. Mabus’ appointment will require senate confirmation, and should bode well for Mississippi’s flagship employer, Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding. Congratulations, Secretary Mabus!
